Ripplevale Broadstairs was delighted to welcome Polly Billington MP on Friday 23rd January for a special visit to the school.

Polly began her visit by meeting with Jane Norris, Headteacher, and Shane Donovan, Deputy Headteacher, to discuss the school and its work within the community. She then toured the school, spending time with students and visiting classrooms to learn more about their studies.

During her visit, Polly spoke with Clara, who shared her knowledge of Henry VIII’s wives and their fates, and proudly showcased a carousel she had designed and made in Design and Technology. In Botany Bay, students Parker and Harrison demonstrated their excellent handwriting skills, while students in Joss Bay impressed Polly with their understanding of turns and directions.

Polly showed great interest in the students’ learning and achievements throughout the visit. The students were extremely excited to meet their local MP and felt very special to have the opportunity to share their work with her.

Ripplevale Broadstairs was pleased to welcome Polly Billington MP and thank her for taking the time to visit and engage with students and staff.
