| Ripplevale School follows the framework of a mainstream school day. All pupils follow a broad-based syllabus until the start of Year 10 when selection takes place for external GCSE examinations whilst Year 9 pupils are prepared for Key Stage 3 tests. In the lower school the class tutors teach most of the National Curriculum subjects. Ripplevale School has specialist teachers teaching Science, English, Maths, Design and Technology, Food Technology, Physical Education and Music. In addition a number of teachers are dyslexia trained and all have received training in meeting the needs of pupils who are on the autistic spectrum. |

Each class is taught Religious Education together with Personal Social and Health Education which contribute to the pupil’s spiritual and moral development. Physical Education and sport maintains a high profile in the school as these activities help pupils to develop confidence and interpersonal skills. |
