| Careers preparation is a priority at Ripplevale School. Career lessons are time tabled and a designated member of staff takes responsibility for all careers matters. The Education and Family Liaison Officer organises work experience placements for all Year 10 and 11 pupils. A careers advisor from the local Connexions service attends school on a regular basis. Through the Connexions service our local careers officer liaises with the careers officer in each pupil’s home town to ensure continuity and on-going support for school leavers. |

The vast majority of our pupils go on to Colleges of Further Education and many go on to complete additional qualifications which have included success at degree level. Our aim is for every one of our pupils to leave Ripplevale School as independent and socially competent adults. We want them to be healthy, able to earn their living, gain job satisfaction, enjoy their leisure and to be eager to continue learning. |
