At the end of the teaching day a short meeting forum is held to discuss the day’s events before the pupils select their evening activities. In addition to the many social interests on offer during the school day pupils are encouraged to take part in out-of-school activities such as swimming, ice and roller skating, freshwater and sea fishing, local youth clubs, water sports and army cadets. Particular interests that individual pupils have before starting at Ripplevale School will be sought to allow them to continue whilst at school.
Pupils are encouraged to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme. The school makes use of Dover Water Sports Centre where qualified instructors are able to offer canoeing and dingy sailing within the safety of Dover Harbour. The school also has an inshore boat which allows for river trips during the summer term.
Join us on Wed 23rd July from 11am for a BBQ lunch and an opportunity to see the students work and chat to teachers and care staff
