Ripplevale School works closely in partnership with parents and carers and relevant professionals to ensure that the needs of all pupils are fully met. The school has an open door policy and parents, carers and professionals are encouraged to maintain high levels of contact with the school. To further complement formal consultation meetings and reviews parents and carers are welcome to visit the school on an informal basis at times that are mutually convenient. These visits can be arranged by telephoning the school.
Parents and carers are strongly encouraged to attend Annual Reviews and contribute to their son’s individual education plan. Parents and carers are always informed if there is a problem or in the event of an accident or illness. It is also important that the school is informed of any significant events which could have an impact on the pupil. The school has a very structured complaints procedure and parents and carers are given advice on how to use the procedure if they wish to do so.
Mr Sharman recently took some of the year 11 students on a fishing trip where they managed to hook a 5lb carp!!!
